Accompanying textAllyn Bromley, born in San Francisco, 1928, received her MFA from the University of Colorado, 1986. She is a professor and head of the printmaking program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where she was granted her BFA, 1968. Internationally exhibited and collected, she has taught at the Honolulu Academy of Arts, Leeward Community College, and the University of Colorado. "The source of my images derive mostly from the Hawaiian landscape. My work is about technological encroachment of fracturing and parceling out the landscape, the tension of beauty fragmented and reassembled."
