Accompanying textKimberly De Souza received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Chaminade University, Honolulu, HI, in 2012, and since then she has used her scientific knowledge and love of nature to inspire her artwork. For The Nudibranch Parade the artist looked to the sea and decided to recreate in ceramic four nudibranchs (Doto Floridicola, Reticulidia, Nembrotha, and the Flabellina). Nudibranchs are a group of marine gastropod mollusks that are shell-less and known for their brilliant colors. There are more than 3000 known species and can range in size from a quarter inch to 12 inches long.
