Accompanying textSanit Khewhok is a painter, sculptor, curator, and conservator who has been an active member of the Honolulu art community since 1986. He was born in Trang, Thailand, and received a BFA from Silpakorn University, Bangkok, and an MFA in painting and restoration from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy. After working at Bangkok's National Gallery as Curator of Western Art from 1978 to 1986, he worked as Chief Conservator and Collections Manager at The Contemporary Museum in Honolulu from 1988 to 2008. His artwork varies from abstract to figurative, and 2D to 3D, while covering a range of topics that reflect his vast experience and interests.
