Accompanying textNancy Kay Turner is a visual artist, art critic, and former high school teacher whose artwork often incorporates found and recycled elements. For her series The Divine in the Everyday, the artist uses cat food tins to showcase a wide range of familiar, tiny objects and leftover bits from daily life, creating unique, poetic assemblages. Turner elaborates, “Rooted in sustainability, this installation reclaims what’s often discarded as I invite viewers to reconsider the stories we attach to things. I explore home not just as a space, but as a living archive—where the overlooked and the ordinary hold meaning and where small, familiar objects become vessels for reflection, tenderness, and transformation.”
